Who processes your documents
Depono is developed and operated by Squibble GmbH in Kemptthal, in the canton of Zurich. We want you to understand what happens to your documents before uploading them. Use the contact page for questions. Full company details are in the imprint.
Uploading and keeping the original
You upload a PDF or scan to your workspace. The original remains unchanged and available to view and download. Original files are stored with Amazon Web Services in the Zurich region (eu-central-2).
The storage location of original files does not describe every processing step. Storage in Zurich therefore does not mean that all data is processed exclusively in Switzerland.
Planned AI processing in the EU
To recognise details, we plan to process document text with Google Vertex AI in the EU. This involves sending document text to the AI service. This processing is distinct from storing originals in Zurich.
AI processing is planned and will be released separately. Information about the processing and retention terms that apply will be provided in the application before use.
You can compare recognised details with the original and correct them. Missing totals stay blank; they are not calculated from other amounts. The invoice workflow in detail.
Sign-in and access
Sign-in to the application uses WorkOS. Documents belong to a workspace with its own memberships and roles. Authorised members access documents within those permissions. You can use separate workspaces for personal and business documents.
This marketing website does not receive documents or sign-in credentials. App links take you to the separate application.
Downloading originals and requesting deletion
You can download individual original documents again in the application. This downloads the individual file; it is not a complete workspace export with all details and settings.
For questions about deletion or access to your data, contact us. We will discuss your request, the necessary identity verification and any retention obligations with you. Removing a document from your filing area and permanently erasing it are separate steps; a request does not mean that all backup copies are immediately deleted.
Privacy on the website and in the application
The privacy notice for this website explains visits to the marketing site and its cookieless audience measurement. Document processing in the application is governed by the information provided there. Review it before uploading confidential documents.
